    YEAR-ROUND BOOKKEEPER ON A PART TIME BASIS

    A family-owned business for the past 84 years in Ogunquit Maine is looking for a Bookkeeper who wants to grow with our amazing team. We are seeking an individual who is organized, detail oriented with exceptional accounting and communication skills, along with the ability to support our Hotel Team. This position is approximately a 20-25 hrs a week with a flexible schedule based on mutual agreement. You will work directly with the hotel GM, Owner and front desk team on a daily basis.

     

    Requirements

    •  Excellent computer skills - proficiency in Quickbooks, Microsoft Office Suites, including Outlook, Word and Excel. POS systems and Hotel Room Master knowledge is preferred.
    • Strong attention to all details with an analytical focus and problem-solving desire.
    • Excellent knowledge of Accounts Payable and receivables.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong organizational and time management skills with a willingness to learn our procedures and processes.
    • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding company and client information.
    • Able to adapt to changing job requirements and growth of responsibilities.
    • We are hospitality and people-oriented. You must enjoy interacting with our team and guests and on group projects as they arise.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Download, organize and enter bills into QuickBooks after completing a daily import from our Hotel Property Management system.
    • Work with Owners, Department Managers, and General Manager to assign costs and understand budget so to share current cost reporting.
    • Control workflow to support any deadlines, complete 1099s at the end of the year, assist with end of the year tax preparations.
    • Co-ordinate vendor bill processing to expedite client invoicing.
    • Maintain vendor and client files: update historical records as needed, keeping files organized and current along with maintain contracts current.
    • Complete Daily bank deposits, reconcile credit card deposits and statements while also balancing all bank accounts each month.
    • Co-ordinate EOM and EOY financials including Tax paperwork for this family-owned business.

     

    Qualifications

    • Prefer 3 years of Bookkeeping experience and proficiency with Microsoft Suite Programs and Quickbooks Accountant's version with statement writer.
    • College related coursework in accounts management and accounting preferred.
    • Exposure to Hotel accounting systems is a plus.
