Job Summary:

We are urgently seeking a part time Guest Service Representative!

The part time Guest Service Representative welcomes guests to the hotel and checks them in and out of their rooms. In addition, the Guest Service Representative answers questions from visitors, gives directions and recommendations, and serves as the first point of contact for hotel guests. Your genuine warmth and helpful nature helps you rise to any occasion as you welcome and serve guests in person and over the phone everyday.

If you are someone who enjoys interacting with people, has a passion for customer service, and enjoys solving problems, we need you! Ideal candidates will be comfortable using a computer to check reservations, and handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and confidently.

Qualifications:

-A positive, people-first attitude--the hospitality industry runs on service with a smile.

-Prior customer service experience is preferred.

-Be on-time, have a professional appearance, and be orderly and efficient in your work.

-Ability to stand for the majority of your shift.

-Ability to comply with all hotel policies and procedures.

-The position typically works 16-24 hours per week. The right candidates will be flexible and able to work weekends and weekdays as needed, although there is some flexibility to work around scheduling conflicts.

-Authorization to work in the United States for any employer.

-High school or equivalent education is helpful but not required.

-Competitive hourly base pay- $12.50-$13.50/hr DOE

The Clarion Hotel is a 149-room hotel with over 5000 sq of meeting space located conveniently in downtown Portland. We are only 2 miles from the Portland Airport, near the Concord Trailways and Amtrak station, and right on the Route 1 Portland Metro bus route. Walking distance to Thompson's Point, near the Portland Medical District, and right next to all the Portland has to offer, our hotel caters to both business and leisure travelers.
