    Maintenance Technician

    Maine Tourism Staffing Solutions – Cape Elizabeth, ME

    Job Summary:

    This oceanfront luxury resort in Cape Elizabeth is only minutes from the bustle of downtown Portland but feels like a whole world away. Its picturesque oceanfront location is both peaceful and elegant. The resort is seeking a year-round Maintenance Technician.

    The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the general repair of plumbing, PTAC units, room furniture, bathroom fixtures, and tile, painting, wall vinyl, electronic locks, television, and carpentry. You will complete routine equipment checks and perform preventative maintenance on guest rooms and on hotel machinery, such as the boiler, chiller, laundry equipment, vacuums, exercise equipment, and ice machines. You will locate and correct in-room heating, ventilation, and air conditioning malfunctions, maintain cleanliness and chemical balance of the pool, and take care of the hotel grounds, including cleaning, sweeping, snow removal in the winter, planting, weeding, edging, pruning, and mowing. Examples of equipment you might use include power washers, carpet cleaners, leaf blowers, lawn mowers, parking lot sweepers, golf carts, and snow blowers.

    The right candidates will be flexible and available for shifts when needed, which may include mornings, evenings, and weekends. This is a year-round position that offers comprehensive benefits.

    Qualifications:

    -A positive, people-first attitude--the hospitality industry runs on service with a smile.

    -Have full mobility, the ability to lift, carry, and pull up to 50 pounds, and thrive in a fast-paced environment on your feet and in motion for the majority of the shift.

    -Have a minimum of 1 year of general building maintenance or equivalent in a trade profession

    -Have solid experience performing repairs on mechanical, electrical, kitchen, and laundry equipment.

    -Possess general carpentry skills, and know how to use basic hand and power tools

    -Vocational school certification is preferred but not required.

    -Authorization to work in the United States for any employer
