Job Summary:

Part of the Linda Bean’s Perfect family, this cozy and rustic general store is a mainstay of scenic Port Clyde. This community mainstay features excellent small harbor services, dining, and provisioning, with steaming coffee and hot chocolate, a selection of local pastries, cheeses, groceries, fresh vegetables, fruit, hand cut meats, local lobsters and fish, wines, beers and spirits. The deli offers hot meals, pizza, hot breakfast sandwiches, pre-made sandwiches and salads, smoothies and features Linda Bean’s Perfect Maine® Lobster Roll.

With 17 moorings available for rent nightly right outside the store, the Port Clyde General Store is seeking Dock Workers to ensure guest and employee safety and enjoyment around the wharf. You will greet guests with a smile, direct visitors on the use and location of facilities, and take and manage mooring reservations. By ensuring safety equipment is in place and performing operation checks and maintenance, you’ll provide a safe and welcoming docking space for visitors. You’ll make sure the store and surrounds are clean and orderly by sweeping, picking up debris, and performing general maintenance tasks.

Schedule will vary according to operational needs, but regularly include weekends and holidays and may include some overtime. Store hours are 7am-5pm seven days a week.

-Eligibility to work in the United States of America

-Availability through the month of October (November)?

-Ability to communicate in English both orally and written, and ability to understand verbal directions, as well as operation manuals, safety equipment, and weather reports.
