REQUIREMENT

Mainframe Systems Engineer / z/OS Systems Administrator Cheyenne, WY (Hybrid) Long term contract

Need Overall 15+ yrs of experience is Must

Education and Certification

No certifications are explicitly required in the bid.

Preferred: IBM z/OS certifications, ADABAS/Natural DBA certifications

Minimum Qualifications

Amin Frame Systems Programmer (Level 3)

Experience with z/OS operation, support, problem analysis, and resolution

Experience maintaining and troubleshooting BMC Control-M scheduler

Hands-on experience with third-party ISV software (e.g., VTAM-SWITCH)

ADABAS Database Administrator (Level 2)

Expertise in ADABAS database maintenance, monitoring, and tuning

Knowledge of database utilities and third-party products

Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and emergency fixes

Preferred

Experience with Wyoming Department of Transportation’s RIS Driver Services Program (preferred).

Previous experience working in government IT environments.

Strong knowledge of mainframe performance monitoring and capacity planning.

Specific skill set required

Main Frame Systems Programmer:

Mainframe administration (z/OS, JCL, SMP/E, REXX, ISPF, TSO, etc.).

Control-M scheduler management.

Disaster recovery planning and execution.

ADABAS Database Administrator:

ADABAS & Natural programming knowledge

Database backup, tuning, and security

Database utilities & third-party software
