  • Responsibilities

    Job Summary:
    We are hiring a Controls and Automation Technician for a leading manufacturing facility in Indianapolis, IN. This hands-on role is ideal for someone experienced with Allen-Bradley PLCs (Logix 500/5000), HMIs, motion control systems, and VFDs. You'll be responsible for troubleshooting, configuring, and maintaining automation equipment and electrical systems in a food-grade production environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Program and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLC systems (Logix 500/5000)

    • Maintain and modify HMI systems; Ignition SCADA experience a plus

    • Configure and support motion control systems, servo drives, and VFDs

    • Troubleshoot industrial networks (Ethernet, device-level networks)

    • Calibrate and maintain instrumentation (flow, pressure, temperature)

    • Interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation

    • Perform component-level wiring, installation, and setup

    • Use CMMS software and Microsoft Office tools for reporting and documentation

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum 1 year of experience in industrial automation or controls

    • Strong knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLCs and electrical troubleshooting

    • Familiarity with motion control systems and VFDs

    • Ability to read electrical schematics and technical manuals

    • Technical degree or equivalent experience preferred

    • Experience in a food or regulated manufacturing environment is a plus
