    Job Title: Part 91/135 Maintenance Control and Planning Manager

    Employment Type: Full-Time

    Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida (KFXE Based)

    Position Overview:

    The Maintenance Control and Planning Manager is responsible for directing all maintenance control and planning activities to ensure regulatory compliance, operational reliability, and optimal aircraft availability. This role provides leadership oversight of maintenance coordination, scheduling, and technical operations while supporting safe, efficient, and cost-effective aircraft operations. Reports to the assistance DOM.

    Requirements:

    5+ years of experience.

    Strong leadership and team development capabilities.

    Advanced knowledge of FAA regulations and aircraft maintenance programs.

    Maintenance planning and operational control expertise.

    Vendor management and contract negotiation experience.

    Financial awareness and cost management proficiency.

    Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination skills.

    Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability in time-critical environments.

    Strong proficiency in English communication, including professional writing and verbal communication.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Lead, supervise, and develop Maintenance Control and Planning personnel, ensuring team members are properly trained, qualified, and supported.

    Maintain staffing levels to ensure continuous operational coverage for a 24/7 maintenance control environment.

    Promote a culture of safety, accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.

    Establish performance expectations and support professional development within the team.

    Ensure compliance with all applicable FAA regulations, including Part 91 and PROFLITE Part 135 operations, company policies, approved maintenance programs, and safety standards.

    Oversee administration and control of MEL (Minimum Equipment List) and NEF (Non-Essential Equipment & Furnishings) processes, including proper deferral, tracking, and corrective action.

    Verify accurate completion of maintenance records, return-to-service documentation, and regulatory reporting requirements in accordance with PROFLITE GMM.

    Coordinate documentation submission to Quality Assurance and maintenance tracking systems.

    Direct aircraft maintenance scheduling to optimize fleet availability and minimize operational downtime.

    Develop and maintain short-term and long-range maintenance plans, including forecasting scheduled inspections and maintenance requirements.

    Plan and manage heavy maintenance events, including major inspections, repairs, modifications, and downtime coordination.

    Monitor aircraft operational status and discrepancies within maintenance tracking systems to ensure timely corrective action and accurate fleet visibility.

    Lead Aircraft on Ground (AOG) response efforts, including troubleshooting coordination, parts sourcing, ordering, and logistics expediting.

    Communicate aircraft status, maintenance impacts, and operational risks to Quality Assurance, Flight Operations, Charter Sales, and senior leadership.

    Coordinate with maintenance vendors and technical representatives to efficiently resolve aircraft discrepancies as per PROFLITE GMM.

    Select, evaluate, and manage maintenance vendors and service providers in accordance with PROFLITE GMM and regulatory requirements.

    Negotiate maintenance agreements, vendor contracts, and service pricing to support cost-effective operations.

    Monitor maintenance expenditures and provide cost tracking, forecasting, and budget projections.

    Support financial planning through maintenance cost analysis and operational reporting.

    Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Maintenance (DOM).
