    We're looking for a dependable Maintenance Engineer to help maintain our guestrooms, public areas, and building systems. Whether you have hotel maintenance experience or recently completed training in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or building maintenance, this is an excellent opportunity to grow your career in a full-service hotel. Pay: $20 - $24 per hour, based on experience Schedule: Full-time (day/evening shifts) Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays On-call availability may be required What We Offer: Competitive pay Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off Hotel discounts Career growth opportunities Responsibilities: As a Maintenance Engineer, you will: Perform preventive maintenance throughout the hotel, including guestrooms, public areas, meeting spaces, laundry facilities, kitchen equipment, HVAC systems, ice machines, refrigerators, the pool, and spa. Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and work orders. Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC systems. Complete repairs including painting, drywall patching, carpentry, tile repair, caulking, vinyl repair, and minor furniture repairs. Monitor building equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Respond to equipment alarms and report findings appropriately. Conduct daily inspections of guestrooms and hotel grounds to identify maintenance needs. Ensure the swimming pool and spa remain compliant with local health and safety standards. Assist with repairs to laundry equipment, exhaust fans, vacuum cleaners, and other hotel equipment. Monitor property lighting, irrigation, and exterior cleanliness. Follow all safety procedures and maintain effective communication with the engineering team. Participate in monthly team meetings and complete additional projects as assigned. Qualifications: One or more years of hotel maintenance, apartment maintenance, commercial building maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a related trade is preferred. Technical school graduates are encouraged to apply. Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and carpentry systems. Experience performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting equipment. Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, operating procedures, and safety guidelines. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment. State-required safety certifications, where applicable. HVAC certification is preferred. Experience with the following is a plus: Building Maintenance Preventative Maintenance Mechanical Troubleshooting Refrigeration Systems Physical Requirements: This is an active position requiring frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, and working indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures. The ability to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance when necessary is required.
