  • Responsibilities

    This role is responsible for company-wide equipment repair and related inventory control accuracy at all North American facilities. This role works closely with the Plants and Planning teams supporting activities and metrics related to inventory accuracy/turns/statuses; damages/losses. They are responsible for implementing and managing OSI policies impacting master data updates ensuring proper inventory rotation.

    • Executes daily inventory reconciliation covering all assigned locations guaranteeing ERP systems reflect correct levels for shipment/planning activity
    • Review all new request for inventory and verify if already existing.
    • Oversee all R&M inventory and consolidate wherever possible.
    • Develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures for the Maintenance purchasing department that enhance efficiency and inventory accuracy.
    • Monitor and audit buyers are leveraging purchasing agreements.
    • Assist with the control of inventory covered by consignment agreements and inventory policies to ensure compliance.
    • Oversee the Company’s asset tracking software.
    • Ensure integrity of inventory balances by monitoring transfers and adjustments and reconciliation of inventory related transactions with the Company’s ERP system.
    • Enhance, track, and report on inventory metrics, such as inventory turns, late returns, and stagnant inventory; review and analyze data to identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Identify the root cause of inventory discrepancy trends and communicate the cause and suggested resolution to management.
    • Collaborate with internal departments, such as Production, Maintenance & Engineering to control appropriate inventory.
    • Follow all safety programs and perform required rules, safety, and HAACP requirements.
    • Audit store rooms for accuracy of cycle counts.
    • Prepare reports of departmental activities as requested.
    • Coordinate or conduct training as required
    • This role has the responsibility to understand and places in practice appropriate safety procedures. This responsibility is achieved through education, training, use of protective equipment (as applicable) and by following safety policies, regulations, standards, and laws.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Required Skills

    • 3-5 years of experience in related field is preferred.
    • Excellent proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite Products.
    • Analytical, problem solving, project management, facilitation, and decision-making skills are essential.
    • Strong leadership skills, ability to motivate others, resolve conflict, encourage teamwork, and manage employee performance.
    • Excellent verbal, written, listening, and presentation skills.
    • Strong knowledge of materials and inventory control in manufacturing environments.
    • Self-starter, able to work with or lead cross-functional teams.
    • Must be able to work under minimal direct supervision and be willing to take initiative to resolve problems and to help revise and upgrade processes.
    • Ability to develop, maintain and strengthen partnerships with others inside and outside of the organization.
    • BA/BS or equivalent is preferred.
    • Degree in Business or related field is preferred.

    Work can be performed within a manufacturing plant environment with noise, extreme temperatures, and significant movement of powered equipment, people and conveyor (may depend on the role).

    Work conditions are typical of an office & plant environment.

    This role requires 30%+ domestic travel.

    Position requires the physical agility to perform continuous lifting up to 15 pounds, bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching/reaching, use hands or fingers, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, controls and standing/walking on concrete

    flooring.

    Position requires the physical ability to stand/walk for the duration of work hours.
