About the Role: We are seeking a reliable and experienced Maintenance Lead Gardener to join our team. This hands-on role involves overseeing the upkeep of residential and/or commercial gardens, ensuring they remain healthy, tidy, and visually appealing year-round. You’ll be responsible for a wide range of general garden maintenance tasks and will work both independently and as part of a small team.

Key Responsibilities:

General garden maintenance including weeding, mulching, fertilizing, and planting

Pruning shrubs, hedges, and small trees

Lawn care including mowing, edging, and blowing

Trimming and shaping of plants for aesthetic appeal and plant health

Routine inspections and upkeep of garden areas to ensure cleanliness and presentation

Operating and maintaining gardening equipment and tools

Reporting plant health issues, pests, or damage when observed

Leading and coordinating with other gardeners or assistants as required

Requirements:

Proven experience in garden maintenance or a similar horticultural role

Strong plant knowledge and pruning skills

Ability to safely use and maintain gardening tools and machinery

Good physical fitness and a strong work ethic

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Attention to detail and a genuine passion for gardening

Driver’s license preferred
