    Lead a maintenance department instead of just fixing equipment.

    Guidepost Staffing is recruiting an experienced Maintenance Manager for a growing lumber and pallet manufacturer. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll oversee maintenance operations, improve equipment reliability, and help drive plant performance.

    Please Note: The facility is currently located in Jamesville, NY and will relocate to a new, modern facility in Blossvale, NY in approximately 20 months.

    Pay : $28.00–$32.00 per hour ($58,240–$66,560 annually based on a 40-hour work week), plus overtime opportunities if applicable.

    What You'll Do

    • Lead all plant maintenance operations
    • Develop and improve preventive maintenance programs
    • Reduce equipment downtime and improve plant efficiency
    • Troubleshoot Industrial machinery
    • Partner with production leadership
    • Support capital equipment improvements
    • Oversee maintenance inventory and parts purchasing
    • Manage outside vendors and contractors

    Qualifications

    • 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, sawmill, lumber, pallet, or heavy equipment environment
    • Previous experience leading or supervising a maintenance team preferred
    • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment
    • Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
    • Experience with conveyors, motors, gearboxes, bearings, chains, belts, and power transmission components
    • Ability to diagnose equipment failures and perform hands-on repairs
    • Experience developing or following preventive maintenance programs
    • Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics, equipment manuals, and technical drawings
    • Experience coordinating outside vendors, contractors, and repair services
    • Strong organizational skills with experience managing parts inventory and maintenance records
    • Forklift, skid steer, loader, or other mobile equipment experience preferred
    • Welding, fabrication, and basic machining experience is a plus
    • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safe maintenance practices
    • Computer skills for maintenance documentation, work orders, and inventory tracking
    • Valid driver's license with a dependable work history
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform hands-on maintenance work in an industrial manufacturing environment
