Our client is a well-established manufacturer of industrial building materials seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee all aspects of facility and equipment maintenance in the plant. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all activities related to plant maintenance, equipment reliability, facility improvements, and safe operations.
The Maintenance Manager will lead preventive and corrective maintenance programs, oversee capital improvement projects, and ensure equipment and facilities are maintained to support efficient, reliable, and compliant manufacturing operations. This position is based on-site in Pittsburgh, PA.
Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise the plant maintenance team while overseeing daily maintenance operations.
Direct all maintenance activities to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment, utilities, and facility infrastructure.
Plan, coordinate, and oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
Manage maintenance planning, scheduling, CMMS work orders, and maintenance documentation.
Oversee facility, equipment, and grounds maintenance, including the coordination of contractors and third-party service providers.
Implement equipment reliability improvements, root cause corrective actions, and preventive maintenance strategies to improve operational efficiency.
Lead equipment installations, upgrades, facility improvements, and capital projects from planning through startup.
Assist with maintenance and capital budget planning, cost control, and project execution.
Manage maintenance inventory including spare parts, tools, and critical replacement components.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Partner with production, engineering, and plant leadership to support manufacturing operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
4+ years of maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Experience supervising maintenance technicians or maintenance teams.
Knowledge of industrial maintenance, PLCs, industrial automation, mechanical systems, electrical systems, preventive maintenance programs, and equipment troubleshooting.
Experience with predictive maintenance, CMMS or maintenance management systems, equipment reliability, and asset management.
Experience managing maintenance budgets, capital projects, and safety compliance.
Experience supporting manufacturing equipment including motors, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, VFDs, and industrial machinery.
Experience with continuous improvement initiatives, root cause analysis, and reducing equipment downtime.
