Maintenance Manager -Multifamily Property

Our client, a privately held real estate development and property management company specializing in developing, owning, and managing luxury apartment communities, is looking for a skilled and hands-on Maintenance Manager to join their team.

As our Maintenance Manager, you’ll lead the maintenance and physical operations of the Neighborhood. You’ll have real ownership of the property, from day-to-day maintenance and team leadership to capital projects, vendors, budgets, safety, and long-term property preservation.
Maintenance Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead & Develop the Team – Hire, train, mentor, and support Neighborhood staff while building positive and productive working relationships. Address challenges, resolve issues, and lead by example.
- Manage Property Operations – Oversee the physical condition and ongoing maintenance of the neighborhood, ensuring the property remains safe, functional, and well-maintained.
- Manage Budgets & Projects – Oversee maintenance-related budgets and expenses through cost-effective management of resources, vendors, and contractors. Support and manage capital projects as needed.
- Maintain Safety Standards – Lead ongoing safety training and ensure maintenance practices comply with applicable company policies and federal, state, and local regulations.
- Manage Vendors & Inventory – Coordinate vendors and contractors while maintaining appropriate inventory, supplies, and equipment needed for effective property operations.
- Be a Resource – Serve as a trusted resource for the neighborhood team by understanding company policies, maintenance procedures, safety requirements, and applicable regulations.
Neighborhood Service Manager Qualifications:
- 5+ years of apartment maintenance experience and/or training, including 2+ years in a supervisory role.
- High school diploma/GED required, plus at least three maintenance-related certifications or courses through BOMA, IREM, vocational programs, or similar institutions.
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations and the ability to interpret safety rules, operating manuals, and maintenance instructions.
- Ability to lead a team, build strong relationships, resolve problems, and make sound decisions.
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation and respond when needed.
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, perform repetitive motions, communicate effectively, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

Compensation: $36.25 – $39.75 per hour
Discretionary Semi-Annual Bonus Plan
