Maintenance Manager – New Carlisle, IN (Direct Hire)
Position Overview
The position’s primary function is to maintain and repair equipment and provide maintenance support for a coil-coating, slitting, and warehousing facility. This position’s day-to-day responsibilities are to plan, coordinate, and supervise plant maintenance personnel in a 24/7 operation, including the operation of roll grinders, WWT and other environmental compliance activities. The Maintenance Manager will be accountable for complying with all applicable company standards and government regulations. Success will be defined by the employee’s ability to ensure prompt responses to breakdowns, repairs, preventative maintenance work, and initiate continuous improvement.

- Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM EST
Starting Pay Range:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Directing Maintenance Technicians in electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment and the operation of wastewater and roll grinding
- Directing Maintenance Technicians in the dismantling, assembling, and installing industrial machinery.
- Monitoring supply of spare parts and completing requisitions, as needed
- Studying production schedules and estimating Maintenance Technicians’ hour requirements for completion of job assignments during operation or downtime
- Interpreting policies to Maintenance Technicians and enforcing safety regulations, maintaining OSHA/Regulatory compliance
- Interpreting blueprints and work orders to Maintenance Technicians and assigning duties accordingly
- Establishing or adjusting work procedures to meet production schedules, work priorities, availability of equipment, and skills of personnel.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from college or university preferred
- Four (4) to six (6) years of experience in various aspects of electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment required
- Entire facility oversight preferred
Physical Demands
- Maintenance Manager is scheduled to work 8-hour shifts weekly with expected overtime during project or downtime periods
- Requires extended periods of walking and standing on concrete surfaces, extended periods of stooping, bending, crouching, or crawling, frequent ascending and descending stairs, and frequent reaching with hands and arms
- Must occasionally lift up to 75 pounds from floor to waist level and push/pull up to 75 pounds.
