PPS is seeking a Maintenance Manager to join our crew at our fabrication shop in Phoenix, AZ! This is a full-time opportunity with AMAZING benefits! This role will ensure maximum equipment uptime while developing systems that prevent failures, improve efficiency, and support production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop preventive maintenance programs to reduce unexpected equipment downtime and extend asset life.
Key Performance Indicators & Standard Operating Procedures
- Team Leadership: Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate maintenance staff and technicians.
- Equipment Uptime: Maintain all critical equipment in operational condition with minimal downtime. Measured by downtime hours, response time, and repeat failures. No machine should fail repeatedly for the same issue without a permanent fix.
- Preventive Maintenance System: Develop, maintain, and execute a structured PM program, including equipment lists, schedules, and checklists. Measured by completion rate and reduction in failures.
- Breakdown Response & Troubleshooting: Respond quickly and resolve issues efficiently. Measured by response and repair time. Immediate acknowledgment and rapid on-site response expected.
- Budget & Inventory: Manage maintenance budgets, track expenses, and maintain an inventory of tools and spare parts.
- Root Cause Problem Solving: Identify and eliminate root causes. Each failure analysis must document what failed, why, and preventive steps taken.
- Breakdown Tracking System: Track equipment, issues, root causes, repairs, and downtime to identify patterns and eliminate recurring issues.
- Spare Parts & Inventory Management: Maintain critical spare parts with minimum stock levels. Frequently failing parts must be kept in stock.
- Standard Repair Procedures: Develop procedures for common repairs to reduce downtime and reliance on individual technicians.
- Production Support & Prioritization: Align maintenance with production needs.
- Production-stopping equipment issues take top priority.
- Maintenance Request System: All work must be tracked with job descriptions, priority levels, and reported time.
- Daily Maintenance Structure: Follow a consistent routine including equipment checks, PM work, and daily planning.
- Communication & Documentation: Maintain clear logs and active communication with team leads.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures with zero violations.
- Organization & Housekeeping: Maintain clean and organized work areas and tool sets.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously improve equipment reliability, reduce breakdowns, and enhance overall efficiency.
