  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    • Daily supervision of Maintenance staff members including delegation of work orders, special projects and time management techniques
    • Inspection and oversight of existing and completed work orders
    • HVAC, Boiler, plumbing, electrical, appliance and all other service requests
    • Mentoring and training new and existing maintenance staff members
    • Involvement with interviewing and selection of new maintenance team members
    • Provides written monthly energy management recommendations for the building
    • Identifies capital improvements and obtain required estimates/bids
    • Assists in budget preparation for maintenance expenses
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Minimum Requirement: Technical (STEM) degree or trade school certification
    • Preferred education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant field
    • 7+ years of experience in a chemical/manufacturing environment
    • Experience with project and maintenance budgeting
    • Union experience is preferred
    • Experience includes development of PFD’s, P&ID’s, equipment layouts, and equipment lists
    • Should have familiarity with a variety of equipment in the processing industry, including pumps, heat exchangers, reactors, filtration, flow measurement, conveyors, mills, and bulk solid/powder material transfer equipment.
    • Demonstrated leadership skills.
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Must be knowledgeable in basic accounting & budgeting fundamentals.
    • Basic working knowledge of chemical process unit operations.
    • Computer skills: Word, Project, PowerPoint
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
    • Mechanical aptitude
    • Ability to develop strong working relationships with the plant personnel and contractors
    • Capacity to organize projects
    • Familiarity with OSHA regulations desirable.

    • Participation in risk assessment audits as applicable
    • Understand PQ Principles (PQP) and how they are implemented in the site organization, rules and procedures
    • Completes HSE training requirements identified for the job in a timely manner
