Plant Maintenance Manager

We’re hiring a hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead plant-wide maintenance strategy for a well-established food manufacturing facility. This is a key leadership role with direct impact on uptime, safety, and operational efficiency.
What You’ll Do:
Lead the Maintenance Department across two shifts, including mechanical, electrical, and building systems
Develop and drive preventive and predictive maintenance programs
Oversee equipment reliability, downtime reduction, and plant utility systems
Work closely with Operations and QA to prioritize repairs and support production goals
Recommend upgrades, replacements, or modifications to improve performance and reduce cost
Ensure CMMS system integrity, manage parts inventory, and control repair & maintenance budget
Lead technician hiring, development, safety training, and performance management
Manage vendor relationships and external service work as needed
What We’re Looking For:
8+ years in industrial maintenance with at least 5 years in a manager-level role
Prior experience working in USDA regulated facilities
Solid experience with preventive/predictive maintenance, CMMS, and lean principles
Hands-on familiarity with packaging, processing, and utility systems
Strong leadership, team development, and communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial preferred)
Comfortable managing budgets, vendors, audits, and KPIs
Preferred Experience:
Knowledge of FDA, USDA, OSHA, and relevant food safety regulations
Proficient in Microsoft Office and maintenance software (e.g., CMMS)
Able to read equipment manuals, codes, and technical drawings
Clean driving record; ability to work extended hours if needed
