Summary:
Our award-winning client is seeking a Maintenance Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate is responsible for leading and overseeing all plant maintenance operations, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of electrical, mechanical, and automated systems.
This role drives preventive maintenance strategies, supports production operations, and collaborates cross-functionally with Engineering and Operations teams.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and a proactive approach to improving equipment performance, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and manage the maintenance team, ensuring effective workforce utilization, scheduling, and performance management.
Establish clear goals, evaluate employee performance, and support team development in alignment with company objectives.
Oversee all maintenance activities related to plant utilities, production equipment, and processing systems.
Communicate maintenance status, work orders, and repair updates to Operations leadership.
Develop and implement a comprehensive Preventive Maintenance (PM) program using CMMS tools such as Accruent Maintenance Connection and MP2.
Analyze equipment performance, labor efficiency, and maintenance data to drive continuous improvement.
Manage spare parts inventory and ensure optimal stock levels for critical components.
Plan and execute equipment installations, upgrades, and capital projects, ensuring completion on time and within budget.
Apply structured project management methodologies, including Critical Path Analysis, for internal and contractor-led projects.
Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to resolve complex equipment and process issues.
Provide technical guidance and training on electrical systems, PLCs, automation, and controls.
Design and maintain automation networks (e.g., DH+, Ethernet) and support PLC system integration.
Develop and manage SCADA, HMI/MMI systems, historical data trending, and database applications.
Maintain accurate documentation of electrical systems, PLC programs, and control configurations.
Ensure compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM) standards, including Management of Change (MOC) and Mechanical Integrity programs.
Partner with leadership to identify capital improvement opportunities and support project execution and startup.
Support new product introductions, trials, and process development initiatives.
Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices through training and professional development.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field (preferred).
4+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food production.
2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.
Experience with CMMS platforms and maintenance planning tools.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and industry standards.
