Maintenance Mechanic - 2nd Shift
The Maintenance Technician Mechanic is responsible for performing Preventative Maintenance (PMs) and repairs of automated equipment which include AC/DC motors, pumps, PLC/controls, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, conveyors, trolleys, etc. in an FDA-Regulated environment.
This role will work closely and cross-functionally, with Maintenance, Safety, Operations, Quality, etc. to meet business objectives and productivity requirements. The Maintenance Mechanic will report to the Maintenance Engineer Leader.
This is a second shift position with working hours from Monday - Friday, 3 p.m. - 11:30 p.m. with occasional overtime on Saturdays.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Execution of assigned Preventative Maintenance activities, including creation and updating of documentation
Troubleshoots and resolves equipment issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
Support Operations to perform changeovers of equipment on an as needed basis.
Assist in controlling adequate inventory parts and supplies
Coordinates with upstream and downstream processes by collaborating with Planning and Warehouse teams as well as vendor representatives on timing of effective changeovers
Maintains work area to required standards. Performs housekeeping activities as per established protocol and conducts/participates in area housekeeping assessments per requirements.
Understands and adheres to Environmental, Occupational, Health and Safety requirements
Understands and adheres to all Quality, Good Manufacturing Practices and Micro Cleaning & Sanitization Guidelines and standards
Supports general building maintenance to ensure the facility meets the federally GMP required standards, and safety guidelines required by OSHA.
Understands dynamic production scheduling and demands, and prioritizes maintenance activities in order to enable, support and facilitate said demands.

Qualifications
Required:
High school diploma or GED required
3+ years experience with maintaining and repairing automated equipment, particularly mechanical, electrical and pneumatic controls
Knowledge and the ability to follow Good Manufacturing Practices guidelines and standards
Ability to work well with others and independently
Knowledge and ability to follow standard safety procedures
Ability to collaborate and align with team of production Operators and Leaders to align on priorities in order to accomplish goals
Ability to consistently climb, bend, kneel and lift 50 pounds safely throughout the course of a shift
Ability to remain on-call for nights and weekend coverage.
Technological proficiency with Microsoft or Google Suite, SAP, etc.
Ability to safely climb stairs and ladders and bend to 90 degrees repeatedly
General working knowledge food safety regulations (AIB, FDA, USDA, cGMP)
Preferred:
3+ Years Electromechanical Experience
Experience working with food safety regulated environments (AIB, FDA, USDA, cGMP)
Technical Certification or Degree in Machining, HVAC, Electromechanics, or related discipline
