Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift

Direct Hire | Little Canada, MN | $28 - $38/hour

Hours: 2:45 PM – 11:00 PM \- Shift differential included

Position Overview

This role supports manufacturing operations by maintaining and repairing production equipment and facility systems in a plastics manufacturing environment. The Maintenance Technician will focus on minimizing downtime, supporting production changeovers, and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.

This position works hands-on with blow molding machinery, auxiliary equipment, and plant systems, performing electrical, mechanical, and fabrication-related maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair industrial production equipment and support systems
• Perform electrical and mechanical repairs on blow molding machinery (injection molding experience a plus)
• Diagnose equipment issues using meters, schematics, manuals, and operator input
• Support equipment setups, changeovers, and startups to achieve quality production
• Perform preventive maintenance to improve reliability and reduce unplanned downtime
• Conduct fabrication work, including machining, cutting, and welding as needed
• Install, modify, and test new or existing equipment
• Maintain facility systems to ensure safe plant operation
• Complete work orders and maintenance documentation accurately
• Work collaboratively with production and leadership to support plant goals

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• 5+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience preferred
• Strong electromechanical troubleshooting skills
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial electrical systems
• PLC troubleshooting experience is a plus
• Fabrication (machining and welding) experience preferred
• Plastics manufacturing experience is a plus
