1st shift 6:30am - 3:00pm 3rd shift Monday – Friday | 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM Pay: $29.00 – $42.00 per hour Job Type: Full-Time | 38–45 hours per week

Position Summary
The Maintenance Mechanic – 3rd Shift performs preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance to ensure production equipment and facilities remain safe, reliable, and fully operational. This is a hands-on role supporting overnight production operations.
Responsibilities
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production and facility equipment
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and production emergencies
Assist with installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment
Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to resolve recurring issues
Complete work orders accurately in CMMS and document repairs and parts used
Maintain organization and cleanliness of maintenance areas and tools
Monitor spare parts inventory and notify leadership of critical needs
Follow all safety procedures (LOTO, PPE, confined spaces, working at heights)
Comply with GMP, food safety, and sanitation requirements
Support weekend or shutdown maintenance activities as needed
Qualifications
Education (Preferred): Technical degree or certification in Mechanics, Electricity, Electromechanics, Industrial Maintenance, or related field
Experience:
Minimum 3-4 years of maintenance experience in food manufacturing or industrial environments
Night shift experience preferred
Required Knowledge & Skills:
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities
Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems
Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
Knowledge of industrial safety practices including LOTO, confined spaces, and proper PPE usage
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
bility to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
Flexibility to respond to urgent repairs and production support needs
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a GMP-regulated or food manufacturing environment
Welding, millwright, or multi-craft maintenance experience
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), or 5S principles
Basic PLC troubleshooting experience (preferred but not required)
Industry Certifications (Preferred)
CMRT – Certified Maintenance & Reliability Technician from Society for Maintenance & Reliability Professionals — Focuses on preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, and reliability best practices commonly used in manufacturing environments.
CMRP – Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional — Advanced certification often held by senior technicians or maintenance leaders.
Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Certification from National Center for Construction Education and Research or similar credentials such as those from National Institute for Metalworking Skills — Demonstrates hands-on competency in mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and industrial maintenance.
