Thompson First Group is currently seeking a qualified Maintenance Mechanic Lead for a local client in Trappe, MD. Candidates who have a background working as a Maintenance Mechanic in an industrial setting are encouraged to apply.

Job Duties:

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support daily maintenance activities for production equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems, including:
  • Pneumatics
  • Hydraulics
  • Gear drives
  • Compressed air systems
  • Basic electrical components
• Assist in prioritizing and responding to maintenance needs on the production floor
• Provide guidance and support to maintenance technicians while promoting safe work practices
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure equipment uptime and reliability
• Troubleshoot issues with forklifts and powered industrial equipment as needed
• Collaborate with production leadership to address operational challenges

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude with basic electrical knowledge
• Experience working with production/manufacturing equipment
• Ability to troubleshoot and adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision
• Willingness to learn new skills and take on new challenges
• Understanding of workplace safety and commitment to safe practices

Preferred (Not Required):

• Experience with refrigeration systems
• Prior leadership or lead-level experience
