We are seeking a skilled Millwright with strong capabilities in welding and metal fabrication to join our maintenance and operations team. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining, installing, and fabricating components for heavy industrial machinery in a metal processing environment.
This is 1st shift, Monday-Friday!! $30+/hr to start
Key Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, disassemble, and maintain industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Perform structural and precision welding (MIG, Stick) to fabricate or repair machine parts and structural elements.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication schematics.
- Layout and fabricate custom components and brackets using cutting, grinding, and forming tools.
- Align and calibrate machinery using precision tools (dial indicators, laser alignment, etc.).
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Operate cranes, hoists, forklifts, and other equipment for material handling.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to safety standards and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; completion of a technical trade program preferred.
- 3+ years of experience as a millwright or industrial mechanic, with welding and fabrication expertise.
- Proficient in MIG and Stick welding.
- Strong blueprint reading and mechanical drawing interpretation skills.
- Ability to fabricate components from raw materials with minimal supervision.
- Experience in a manufacturing or metal processing environment is strongly preferred.
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding conditions.
Work Environment
- Industrial manufacturing facility with exposure to loud noises, metal dust, and heavy machinery.
- Working on large industrial shredders, saws and other large recycling machines.
- Full-time position with opportunities for overtime and growth.
