Keeping our hotel running smoothly is vital to our guest’s experience – as the Maintenance Representative you will keep everything looking sharp and running like clockwork. From simple repairs to forward thinking for the next day, week, month or season. With naturally high standards to support our own, you will approach every task with devotion and pride. You will observe all relevant health and safety legislature and procedures and keep an organized and secure maintenance workspace.
People:
· Repair or replace items around the hotel and refurbish items in guest rooms. By keeping on top of these tasks, you’ll keep our hotels looking great and working well.
· Organize supplies and make sure equipment is ready for the next day
· Live up to high safety standards – follow guidelines and tell your supervisor about any incidents, dangerous conditions or unsafe equipment
· Take responsibility for the safety and cleanliness of areas inside and outside the hotel, like the car park and pool
· Always keep an eye out for improvements – follow the preventative maintenance calendar and keep everything working and efficient at all times
· Be a friendly face and helping hand to our guests
· Keep your supervisor or duty manager in the loop and tell them about any low running supplies
· Look smart and approachable in your uniform
· Be ready to take on extra duties as and when the team needs you
· Communicate with all hotel department heads to stay informed of maintenance needs and ensure timely responses to requests
Guest Experience
· Understand and respond to customers’ needs and ensure a high level of guest satisfaction
· Use our maintenance program to ensure the hotel is maintained and in service for our guests. This includes on demand maintenance, preventative maintenance, safety systems and pool operations
Responsible Business
· Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, team members and hotel assets in compliance with policies and procedures and regulatory requirements
· Maintain god working relations with outside contacts
· Comply with federal, state and local laws regarding health, safety and alcohol services
· Maintain a focus and commitment to operating a “green” hotel
· Ad-hoc duties – unexpected moments when we have to pull together to get a task done
Experience
· MUST HAVE VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE
