Job Summary- First shift!
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician (Entry Level) to assist with day-to-day maintenance activities that support safe and efficient plant operations. This position is ideal for someone looking to grow their skills in industrial maintenance through hands-on experience, training, and teamwork. The Maintenance Technician will assist with basic repairs, preventive maintenance, and facility upkeep while learning more advanced troubleshooting skills on the job.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with preventive maintenance and basic repairs on production equipment and facility systems
- Perform routine inspections and report equipment or facility issues to senior maintenance staff
- Help troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues under guidance
- Complete basic maintenance tasks such as part replacements, lubrication, adjustments, and clean-up
- Accurately record maintenance work in the maintenance tracking system
- Support basic facility maintenance including lighting, minor plumbing, and general repairs
- Follow OSHA guidelines, safety procedures, and company policies at all times
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 0–2 years of maintenance or mechanical experience preferred (training provided)
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn industrial maintenance skills
- Ability to use basic hand tools and power tools safely
- Basic understanding of mechanical or electrical systems is a plus, but not required
- Ability to follow written, verbal, and visual instructions
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
