  • Responsibilities

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Analyzing demands for repair and improvements of site manufacturing equipment. Identifies solutions to recurring problems and proposes the best solution to avoid some breakdown of equipment and production downtime.
    • Develops an efficient strategy for equipment, collecting all relevant data and information about the maintenance process and activities. Develops a strategy allowing efficient use of the production/process equipment.
    • Supervises assorted contractors as necessary in accordance with all EHS regulations.
    • Analyzes product or equipment specifications and performance requirements to determine designs which can be produced by existing manufacturing or processing facilities and methods.
    • Analyzes engineering proposals, process requirements, and related technical data pertaining to industrial machinery and equipment design.
    • Determines feasibility of designing new plant equipment or modifying existing facilities considering costs, available space, time limitations, company planning, and other technical and economic factors.
    • Uses computer assisted engineering and design software to design plant equipment, facilities, and production methods.
    • Develops expense and capital projects by generating scope of work, alternatives, estimates, project papers, specifications, budgets.
    • Executes expense and capital projects by, selecting contractors, writing requests for quotes, awarding bids, overseeing contractors and internal maintenance personnel, inspecting/approving work, and closing projects.
    • Provides technical information concerning manufacturing or protecting techniques, materials, properties, and process advantages and limitations which affect long range plant and product engineering planning.
    • Complies and analyzes operational, test, and research data to establish performance standards for newly designed or modified equipment. Analyzes existing equipment to reliability and identifies with operations opportunities to improve existing systems.
    • Studies engineering and technical publications to keep abreast of technical changes and developments in industry.
    • Assist with the design and implementation of Electrical/Mechanical PM/ PdM Programs
    • Responsible for storeroom management and inventory
    • Manage mobile equipment fleet
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, Industrial or Electrical)
    • Electrical experience
    • Mechanical experience
    • Boots on the ground experience
    • Low and Medium voltage experience is a requirement low is typically below 1000 Volts and Medium voltage is typically between 1,000 Volts and 35,000 Volts
    • 8-10 years Engineering experience
    • Strong electrical and mechanical background
    • Must be willing to work some weekends.
    • Must be able to be on call for emergencies on off shifts.
    • Minimum work hours is 55 hours per week
    • Manufacturing experience

    REQUIREMENTS: PREFERRED

    • CMMS Experience
    • Ability to work both first and (occasionally) third shift.
    • Knowledge of federal mining laws (MSHA).
    • Knowledge of mining methods and in use and operation of related equipment.
    • Knowledge in the installation, basic maintenance, or operation of mine ventilation and materials processing/handling systems and/or mine shaft maintenance.
  • Compensation
    $160,000 per year
