    Maintenance Supervisor - Inglewood, California

    Pay Range: $27.00 to $33.00

    Overview

    We are seeking an experienced and motivated Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations at a residential community in the Inglewood area. This role blends hands on technical work with leadership responsibilities. You will guide the maintenance team, oversee property upkeep, and ensure residents enjoy a safe, clean, and high quality living environment. This position requires participation in an after hours on call rotation.

    Key Responsibilities

    Team Leadership

    • Lead, train, and supervise the onsite maintenance team
    • Assign work orders, manage daily schedules, and conduct performance reviews
    • Foster a professional, team oriented environment

    Hands On Maintenance and Quality Control

    • Perform advanced repairs in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
    • Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards
    • Troubleshoot complex maintenance issues and support team members

    Operations Management

    • Manage the work order system from start to finish
    • Coordinate and inspect the work of outside vendors
    • Oversee the make ready process to ensure timely unit turnovers
    • Conduct routine property inspections and address issues proactively

    Budget and Inventory Control

    • Assist the Community Manager with maintenance budget planning
    • Maintain inventory and order supplies and parts as needed
    • Track expenses and support cost effective operations

    Qualifications Required

    • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
    • Two to three years of experience in a maintenance supervisory role in a residential setting
    • Experience supervising one or more employees
    • Advanced hands on knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
    • EPA Universal Certification
    • HVAC Certification required for positions in Nevada, Texas, and San Bernardino County
    • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
    • Ability to participate in an on call rotation
    • General computer skills for managing work orders and reporting

    For Higher Levels (II through V)

    • Additional experience managing larger properties ranging from 200 to more than 750 units
    • Experience leading larger maintenance teams
