    Pay Range: $28.00 to $34.00

    Overview

    We are seeking an experienced and motivated Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations at a residential community in the Long Beach area. This role blends hands on technical work with team leadership. You will guide the maintenance team, oversee property upkeep, and ensure residents enjoy a safe, well maintained, and high quality living environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead, train, and mentor the onsite maintenance team
    • Assign work orders, manage schedules, and support a high performance culture
    • Perform advanced hands on maintenance including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
    • Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards
    • Manage the work order system from start to finish
    • Coordinate and inspect the work of outside vendors
    • Oversee the make ready process to ensure timely unit turnovers
    • Partner with the Community Manager on maintenance budgeting and expense control
    • Maintain inventory and order supplies and parts as needed
    • Conduct routine property inspections and address issues proactively
    • Support resident satisfaction by responding to maintenance needs promptly
    • Participate in a rotating on call schedule for after hours emergencies

    Qualifications

    • Two to three years of maintenance supervisory experience in a residential setting
    • Proven ability to supervise and develop at least one or more direct reports
    • EPA Universal Certification required
    • HVAC Certification is a plus
    • Advanced knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
    • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
    • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
    • General computer literacy for managing work orders and reporting
