  • Responsibilities

    Seeking a hands-on, technically capable individual to help us run and build our maintenance department. Heavy manufacturing, foundry type business. Successful candidate will have significant growth potential in the company.

     

    Role

    • Lead a team of 12-18 technicians on 3 shifts, 7 days per week, supporting plant operations and facilities; schedule, supervise and ensure timely execution of projects and repairs
    • Transfer knowledge of basic maintenance practices to crew and develop procedures to support training
    • Execute preventative maintenance schedule
    • Assist in the planning and execution of multiple plant projects both large and small
    • Assist in the managing of vendors, contractors, equipment and spare parts for the plant
    • Position reports to the Plant Engineering & Maintenance Manager

    Required Qualifications

    • Technical degree or certifications in industrial maintenance, electrical or mechanical disciplines
    • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in some combination of performing/managing the following:
    • Welding and fabricating
    • Refractory and furnace lining
    • Electrical and electronic controls; troubleshooting and/or programming
    • Combustion processes, burners, valve trains, temperature controllers
    • Mobile equipment including forklifts, wheel loaders
    • Material handling, conveyors
    • Ventilation systems with 50-250 HP motor Bag houses (dust collectors)
    • Strong history of leadership, planning and people development
    • Focus on Safety and employee involvement
    • Training and developing employees
    • Computer literate and proficient with MS Office, etc.
    • Preventive Maintenance experience – maintaining a working system
    • English and Spanish language fluency

    Desired Qualifications

    • Project management, capital projects experience
    • Experience with Data Acquisition Systems and Software
    • Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing environment

  • Compensation
    $85,000 per year
