MAINTENANCE ENGINEER
The Maintenance Engineer maintains the overall operation of the hotel and equipment. The Maintenance Engineer conducts regularly scheduled preventative actions, responds to emergencies, and works with management to suggest and execute special projects or improvements. He/she also maintains the exterior of the building, parking lot, and common areas.
Responsibilities
Maintain and repair equipment in the guest rooms and throughout the building, including aesthetic and cosmetic repairs
Troubleshoot and fix faulty equipment
Inspect and diagnose maintenance problems, implement corrective action
Conduct routine preventive maintenance on required equipment and furniture
Conduct monthly safety inspections to maintain compliance with local safety codes
Assemble and set up machinery or equipment as needed
Do general cleaning and upkeep of the building and exterior of the property
Order supplies, parts, and other items as necessary
Meet with vendors to estimate repairs and costs
Train staff on safety and emergency procedures
Keep detailed work records, including equipment and workmanship warranties
Assist staff with deep cleaning projects as instructed
Assist with other projects as necessary
