Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join one of our long-term clients’ team at (1) of their properties in St. Paul, MN. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience in residential maintenance, experience as a Maintenance Lead or Supervisor, experience working with multiple properties and over 300 + units at one time. Boilers experience is required, and Boilers License is highly preferred. This role is contract to hire (90 days before conversion).

• This role will be working with (1) property that was built in 1961 and has 372 income restricted units and stories.

Salary: $28-$30/hour DOQ. This role is contract to hire (90 days before conversion).

Schedule: Monday – Friday – 8am – 5pm. No on-call.

Responsibilities and Job Duties:

• Provide a variety of skilled building maintenance including repairs to sinks, windows, floors, and other parts of the building.
• Maintains the grounds assigned which may include trash pick-up, shoveling, and sweeping curb/dumpster area, maintaining landscape beds and other areas.
• Preparation of vacant units for occupancy which may include cleaning responsibilities.
• Lead, motivate and train additional staff members – leading by example.
• Install, repair (including soldering) and maintain various plumbing; heating and air conditioning fixtures; perform metal fabrication and welding.
• Installation and repair of major and minor appliances (e.g. washer, dryer, refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwashers, etc.).
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues, diagnose problems, replace and/or repair parts, test and make necessary adjustments to ensure issues are resolved.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs as needed.
• Complete minor work orders such as snake toilets/drains, repair/replace leaking faucets, remove/replace caulking, replace different components of toilets, adjust/replace door closures, and replace locks, deadbolts, and passage locks.
• Always demonstrate courteous and efficient customer service.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 2 years’ experience in residential maintenance within affordable housing is required.
• 1 years’ experience as a Maintenance Lead or Supervisor, experience working with over 300 + units at one time.
• Be able to pass a Kari Koskinen background check.
• Boilers experience is required, license and certifications are highly preferred.
• Have a valid driver's license and valid auto insurance – as this role will be roving between properties
