We are seeking dependable and detail-oriented Maintenance Support Specialists to support a large public transportation organization in maintaining safe, functional, and operational environments. This role plays a critical part in ensuring facilities, equipment, and transit infrastructure are properly maintained to support uninterrupted daily operations.

Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2-3 years of facilities maintenance, building systems support, or operational support experience
- Experience performing routine maintenance, minor repairs, or equipment support
- Ability to follow written and verbal technical instructions
- Experience working independently and as part of a team
- Perform preventative maintenance on facilities and equipment
- Support maintenance activities in offices, maintenance shops, transit centers, and passenger vehicles
- Conduct basic troubleshooting and report mechanical, electrical, or structural issues
- Assist with minor repairs and component replacements
- Follow safety protocols and properly use tools and equipment
- Maintain maintenance logs and documentation
- Report maintenance or safety concerns to supervisors
- Support operational readiness in high-traffic public environment
Experience Preferences
- Experience supporting large facilities, public infrastructure, or transportation environments
- Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, HVAC, or plumbing systems
- Experience using maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Experience working in a union or regulated environment
- OSHA safety training or workplace compliance experience
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to use hand tools and perform repetitive mechanical tasks
- Comfortable working in indoor and outdoor environments, including varying temperatures
- Ability to work in active operational settings with moving equipment
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
Education Preferences
- Technical certification in facilities maintenance, building systems, or related trade
- Completion of vocational or trade training programs
