    Salary: $35–$40/hr (commensurate with experience)

    About the Role

    Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Team Lead/Supervisor plays a critical dual role in ensuring all equipment and facility systems operate safely and efficiently—while also providing leadership and guidance to the maintenance team.

    This is a hands-on leadership position ideal for someone who thrives in a “lead from the front” environment. You will be responsible for both executing maintenance work and supporting the development, performance, and direction of team members.

    We are seeking a well-rounded Maintenance Technician with either a strong electrical or plumbing background, combined with direct people-management or supervisory experience.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime
    • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and/or plumbing systems based on area of expertise
    • Act as a player-coach, working alongside the team while providing daily guidance and support
    • Coach, mentor, and develop maintenance team members to improve skillsets and performance
    • Participate in and support performance evaluations, feedback, and training initiatives
    • Conduct routine inspections to identify issues and ensure compliance with safety standards
    • Respond to equipment breakdowns, facility issues, and emergency situations (alarms, utilities, etc.)
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency, and reliability
    • Document maintenance activities according to company standards
    • Assist in developing preventative and predictive maintenance programs
    • Monitor spare parts inventory and communicate reorder needs
    • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to support production goals

    What We’re Looking For

    We are open to candidates with one of the following technical backgrounds:

    Option 1: Electrical-Focused Maintenance Tech
    • Strong hands-on experience troubleshooting electrical systems (motors, controls, wiring, etc.)
    • Experience gained on the job (licensure not required)
    Option 2: Plumbing-Focused Maintenance Tech
    • Strong hands-on experience with plumbing systems (pipes, valves, water systems, etc.)
    • Experience gained on the job (licensure not required)

    Leadership Requirements

    • Direct people-management or supervisory experience required
    • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and lead technicians
    • Experience conducting or supporting performance evaluations and training programs
    • Comfortable balancing leadership responsibilities with hands-on technical work

    General Requirements

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical training a plus
    • 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
    • Experience in high-volume industries such as beverage, food, dairy, brewing, or consumer goods preferred
    • Experience with filling, packaging, or batching systems is a plus
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
    • Willingness to take on a variety of maintenance tasks beyond primary specialty

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to work in a chemical manufacturing environment
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks
    • Ability to stand for extended periods
    • Ability to climb, bend, and perform repetitive movements
    • Willingness to work overtime as needed
