Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Industrial Janitor to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in our food warehouse. This role is critical to ensuring a safe, hygienic, and compliant environment for food storage and handling. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial cleaning, preferably in food-grade facilities, and be familiar with sanitation protocols and safety regulations.

Hourly Wage $20/HR

Schedule: Sun-Thurs 6:00am - 2:30pm

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of warehouse floors, walls, ceilings, and equipment.
• Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces, restrooms, break rooms, and office areas.
• Operate industrial cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, pressure washers, and vacuums.
• Dispose of waste and recycling materials in accordance with company and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when replenishment is needed.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation standards (e.g., GMP, HACCP, OSHA).
• Assist with pest control measures and report any signs of infestation.
• Respond to spills and contamination incidents promptly and effectively.
• Support warehouse operations by keeping aisles and workspaces clean and hazard-free.
• Document cleaning activities and complete sanitation logs as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous janitorial or sanitation experience in a food warehouse or industrial setting.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling practices.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends or holidays if needed.

Additional Information

Work Environment:

• Exposure to cold or refrigerated environments.
• Standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required.
