Maintenance Tech Supervisor - Hotel
Join the team at the Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel as our Maintenance Tech Supervisor. In this role, you will lead a team of technicians while overseeing daily maintenance operations, repairs, and preventive maintenance for building systems and equipment. This position ensures safety compliance, coordinates work schedules, provides training and guidance to staff, manages maintenance budgets, and collaborates with management and outside contractors to keep the property operating smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities: • Team Leadership : Hire, train, schedule, and evaluate maintenance technicians and staff; provide technical guidance. • Operations Management : Plan and assign daily tasks, manage work orders, prioritize repairs, and ensure timely completion. • Preventive Maintenance : Develop and implement maintenance programs for HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and machinery. • Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety protocols (like OSHA), conduct inspections, and ensure adherence to regulations. • Budget & Inventory: Monitor maintenance budgets, order parts and supplies, and manage inventory. • Reporting : Maintain records, track performance, and report on maintenance status, costs, and issues to upper management. • Coordination: Work with contractors and other departments to address complex issues or large projects. Core Duties: • Daily : Review requests, dispatch technicians, resolve urgent issues, check completed work, and conduct safety checks. • Weekly/Monthly : Plan schedules, review performance, manage budgets, order supplies, and update records. • Ongoing : Implement new procedures, train staff, manage capital projects, ensure system uptime, and reduce downtime. Qualifications: • Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing). • Leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. • Hotel or similar building experience • Ability to read blueprints/manuals and diagnose complex issues. Compensation: $30.23 per hour
