Maintenance Technician – 1st Shift (Berne, IN)

Job Description - Direct Placement

This position is responsible for the maintenance of machinery and equipment, including CNC lathes and mills (Hurco, Mazak, etc). Must be capable of diagnosing and performing mechanical repairs, preventative maintenance, scheduled safety checks and related functions with minimal direction.

Starting Pay Range:

• $24 – $32/hr., depending on experience

Shifts Available:

• 1st Shift, Monday - Friday

Responsibilities

• General mechanical and electrical troubleshooting on manufacturing equipment
• Perform mechanical maintenance and repairs on CNC machines, including Mazak, Hurco, and Haas
• Conduct preventative maintenance such as coolant changes and general servicing
• Perform basic electrical tasks, including light wiring for grinders
• Support general facility maintenance activities
• Maintain accurate logs of all maintenance work performed
• Work collaboratively within a maintenance team of three, including a working supervisor

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance
• Possess the personal tools necessary for proper performance of assignments
• Must be skilled in the use of precision hand tools and measuring equipment
• Must have knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems

Nice-to-Have:

• CNC Experience (Mazak, Hurco, or Haas equipment)
• Knowledge of general facilities maintenance processes
