As an Electro-Mechanical Technician supporting our maintenance team at our manufacturing site, you will be responsible for repairs, adjustment, and ongoing maintenance of the facilities in Fort Worth, Texas.

    In this role, a typical day will include:

    • Fixing line/equipment mechanical and electrical problems, and performing efficient corrective maintenance to bring line/equipment back into a running and reliable state

    • Writing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Preventive Maintenance (PMs) procedures

    • Performing routine maintenance/cleaning on equipment keeping it in a clean and orderly state responding to fix identified safety hazards and reporting unsafe behaviors or hazards to management

    • Identifying and implementing mechanical/electrical changes to improve quality, compliance, reliability, and reduce cost, following Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and SOPs, with minimal direction

    • Working with production to resolve line/equipment reliability issues, providing regular feedback on equipment/line status and estimated time to repair

    • Safely use maintenance hand/power tools and test equipment

    • Performing technical setup of line/equipment for daily operation, according to the SOP for the assigned work area

    • Maintaining aseptic personnel certification, and practicing good aseptic techniques in the performance of duties

    • Assisting plant engineers in new equipment startups and engineering changes

    • Supporting training of new coworkers, and sharing knowledge and experience with coworkers to develop the team’s overall capability

    WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

    • High School Diploma or Equivalent

    • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English

    • 4 Years of Relevant Experience

    • Work hours: 3rd Shift: 6 PM CST to 6 AM CST: (4 nights on, 4 nights off)

    • Travel Requirements: 0 to 10%

    • Sponsorship & Relocation: Not Available

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

    • Industrial Maintenance Experience is highly important

    • Strong Experience in Equipment Troubleshooting

    • Highly skilled in Electrical, Electronics, Pneumatics, and Mechanics

    • General Automation Knowledge (PLCs, Photo Eyes, VFDs, etc.)

    • Filling & Carton Experience
