Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician Assistant supports maintenance technicians with day-to-day tasks related to property maintenance, repairs, and unit turns. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in residential property maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

Assist maintenance technicians with repairs and service requests

Help with unit turns, including trash-outs, cleaning, and basic prep work

Perform basic maintenance tasks such as:

Changing air filters

Replacing light bulbs

Minor painting and touch-ups

Basic landscaping or exterior upkeep

Load, unload, and transport tools and materials

Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and vehicles

Follow safety procedures and company guidelines

Communicate with team members regarding task progress

Qualifications

Basic knowledge of tools and general maintenance preferred, but not required

Willingness to learn and take direction

Ability to perform physical labor (lifting, bending, standing for extended periods)

Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license preferred

Strong work ethic and positive attitude
