The Maintenance Technician position monitors and maintains a variety of complex utilities and process equipment. Follows standard procedures, requirements and safety policies. Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs facilities and mechanical components, while optimizing utilization of Meggitt facilities.
Maintenance Responsibilities:
1. Performs maintenance service and repairs on assigned equipment.
2. Troubleshoots, inspects, repairs, replaces, and maintains existing mechanical systems and associated equipment including air compressors, air dryers, dehumidifiers, cooling towers, etc.
3. Facilitates and accurately follows specific detailed operational instruction and prints for jobs and setup operations.
4. Administers the preventative maintenance system and provides required reports.
5. Maintains a safe and effective work area/environment and use appropriate personal protective and safety equipment.
6. Supports the Facilities function, as needed.
7. Other responsibilities as assigned.
8. Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s), and additional hours as necessary.
Manufacturing / Non-Sedentary Requirements
Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work may be performed in an office or warehouse environment. Typically requires the ability to spend 66%+ hours each work day doing the following activities: stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, stoop, or climb. May have possible exposure to dust, and may require the ability to lift and/or push up to 50 pounds 33% - 66% of the time.

• High school diploma and related experience in the industry preferable.

• Familiarity with basic computer skills in word processing and spreadsheet programs
• Ability to interact with office and laboratory personnel in a proper, professional and business-like manner
Working Conditions
The employee may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. AmSpec Services provides
product information, training, engineering controls, and personal protective equipment in an effort to protect employees
from exposure to potentially harmful levels of those materials. Employees are required to read product information, use
available engineering controls, follow guidelines presented during training, and be able to wear and use appropriate
protective equipment, including respiratory protective equipment, as may be required by the work environment. The noise
level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Pass an annual Pulmonary Fitness and Respirator Fit Test
Pass a physical examination by a physician designated by AmSpec Services, both before employment and at any time
during employment upon request of AmSpec Services to confirm the Surveyor’s ability to perform the essential job
functions of the position.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/carry boxes weighing up to 45lbs.
Ability to work in the presence of odors, typical of petroleum or petrochemicals, without allergic reactions or nausea when
such odors are within OSHA-designated permissible exposure limits (PELs).
