Position Overview: Camco Pros is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support ongoing residential housing maintenance for residential apartment properties. This role is hands-on and requires a well-rounded technician capable of diagnosing and completing a wide range of repairs while maintaining professionalism when interacting with tenants. The ideal candidate is dependable, experienced, and able to respond to both scheduled work and after-hours service calls with a calm, solutions-oriented approach.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform general maintenance and repair tasks across residential units, including:

Plumbing (minor repairs, leaks, fixture replacements)

Electrical (basic troubleshooting, outlets, switches, lighting)

Carpentry (doors, trim, minor framing repairs)

Drywall and painting repairs

Appliance troubleshooting and minor repairs

Respond to service calls and complete work orders in a timely manner

Participate in after-hours and weekend on-call rotation for emergency maintenance

Travel to job sites as needed (local travel required)

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Communicate clearly with tenants while maintaining professionalism and respect

Assess situations quickly and maintain situational awareness in occupied environments

Document completed work and communicate any follow-up needs to management

Assist with preventative maintenance and unit turns as needed

Required Qualifications

5–10 years of maintenance or trades experience (residential preferred)

Strong working knowledge across multiple trades (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.)

Valid driver’s license

Reliable personal transportation to job sites

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

English speaking with the ability to communicate clearly with tenants and team members

Ability to remain calm, professional, and aware in tenant-occupied environments

Willingness to participate in after-hours and weekend on-call rotation

Experience working in multi-family or public housing environments

Familiarity with work order systems or mobile field apps

Basic understanding of safety practices and compliance

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift 50 lbs+

Frequent standing, bending, climbing, and use of tools

Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
