    Candlewood Suites St. Charles is seeking a reliable, skilled, and motivated Full-Time Hotel Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our hotel remains safe, comfortable, and well-maintained for our guests and team members. The ideal candidate will have previous hotel maintenance experience and possess strong knowledge of general building maintenance, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across multiple trades, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces while responding promptly to maintenance requests and completing preventative maintenance to ensure compliance with IHG brand standards. This position requires a self-starter who can work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and provide exceptional service while maintaining a professional appearance and positive attitude. Responsibilities: Essential Responsibilities • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel. • Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and resolve issues in a courteous and professional manner. • Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, lighting, doors, locks, and other building systems. • Complete drywall, painting, carpentry, flooring, and general repair projects. • Inspect guest rooms and public areas to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with IHG brand standards. • Maintain the exterior of the property, including parking areas, sidewalks, landscaping, and building appearance. • Perform routine inspections of mechanical equipment and building systems. • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and preventative maintenance records. • Assist with room renovations, deep cleaning projects, and emergency repairs as needed. • Follow all OSHA safety regulations, company policies, and hotel procedures. • Work collaboratively with all hotel departments to ensure an exceptional guest experience. Qualifications: • Previous hotel maintenance experience is required. • Experience with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general building maintenance. • Ability to diagnose problems and complete repairs independently. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Excellent customer service and communication abilities. • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work, including climbing ladders, kneeling, bending, and standing for extended periods. • Must have reliable transportation and a dependable attendance record. • Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, and occasional on-call shifts as business needs require. • Stellar communication skills and work ethic. Compensation: $42,000 Salary
