    Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join one of our long-term clients’ team at (1) of their properties in Chaska, MN (55318). The ideal candidate will have 2 years’ experience in residential maintenance, experience with unit turns, appliance repairs, plumbing issues, have knowledge of basic maintenance, be self-motivated, be able to organize multiple tasks throughout the day and is self-sufficient. This role will be helping to assist with a backlog of work orders. This role is contract and expected to last 30 days in length.

    This role will be working with (1) community that was built in 1985 and has 92 tax credit units and 2 stories.

    Schedule: Monday – Friday 830am – 5pm – must be available for apartment turns. No on-call requirements during the contracted period.

    Salary: $24-$28/hour DOQ. This role is contract and expected to last 30 days in length.

    Responsibilities and Job Duties:

    • Provide a variety of skilled building maintenance including repairs to sinks, windows, floors, and other parts of the building.
    • Maintains the grounds assigned which may include trash pick-up, shoveling, and sweeping curb/dumpster area, maintaining landscape beds and other areas.
    • Preparation of vacant units for occupancy which may include cleaning responsibilities.
    • Install, repair (including soldering) and maintain various plumbing; heating and air conditioning fixtures; perform metal fabrication and welding.
    • Installation and repair of major and minor appliances (e.g. washer, dryer, refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwashers, etc.).
    • Troubleshoot maintenance issues, diagnose problems, replace and/or repair parts, test and make necessary adjustments to ensure issues are resolved.
    • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs as needed.
    • Complete minor work orders such as snake toilets/drains, repair/replace leaking faucets, remove/replace caulking, replace different components of toilets, adjust/replace door closures, and replace locks, deadbolts, and passage locks.
    • Always demonstrate courteous and efficient customer service.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • 2 years’ experience in residential maintenance.
    • Be able to pass a Kari Koskinen background check.
    • Experience with unit turns, and work orders.
    • Have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
