Maintenance Technician – Genesis Health Clubs (Louisville, KY)

Pay: $50,000 – $60,000+ per year (Higher compensation for HVAC-certified candidates with commercial experience)

Job Summary:

Genesis Health Clubs is hiring a skilled Maintenance Technician to oversee the repair, maintenance, and operation of our Louisville fitness facilities. This is a hands-on, full-time role that requires experience with HVAC systems, electrical and mechanical repairs, and fitness equipment maintenance. Pool maintenance experience is a strong bonus. Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily maintenance checks on all club facilities and equipment

Diagnose and repair HVAC systems (commercial experience preferred)

Handle electrical and mechanical repairs across the facility

Maintain and repair gym equipment (cardio, strength, free weights)

Support pool and spa maintenance as needed

Collaborate with Facilities Manager on priorities and projects

Ensure club safety, cleanliness, and operational standards are met

Manage contractor and vendor work when necessary

Respond promptly to urgent maintenance issues

Qualifications:

Proven HVAC experience (required)

Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills

Experience with fitness equipment maintenance

Pool maintenance knowledge is a plus

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Team player with excellent communication abilities

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Ability to climb ladders, kneel, and perform physical labor

Comfortable working in indoor and outdoor environments
