We are growing and looking to add a Maintenance Technician to join our team in Farmington, MN! This position is part time (5-20 hours/week).

You'll be responsible for maintaining the physical asset of our properties. Day-to-day tasks include, but are not limited to, building maintenance, apartment repairs, reconditioning, painting, minor plumbing and electrical, along with grounds care and snow removal as needed. Great customer service is a must as you will work daily with our residents.

Job Tasks & Responsibilities will vary with experience but can include:

Perform highly diversified duties relating to all aspects of maintenance

Monitor and maintain all building systems as assigned

Inspect units and overall property condition

Minor plumbing - fixture replacement, drain snaking, leak repairs, etc.

Basic electric-fixture and device replacements, basic troubleshooting

Turnover unit painting as needed

Maintain landscaping and grounds

Complete resident work orders promptly

Maintain inventory for cost effective operations

Complete “make ready” process of vacant apartments

Travel to additional properties as needed

Snow removal and lawncare as needed

Coordinate and oversee contractors

Ensure repairs are within established expense limits

Carry a cell phone for on-call maintenance including after-hour emergency calls

Record detailed maintenance logs

Submit receipts, timesheets, and mileage in timely manner

Maintain professional courteous manner with all residents, contractor, and fellow employees

Perform all work related activities in a fair, ethical, and consistent manner

Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area

Requirements:

Demonstrated maintenance or repair experience

Knowledge of computer and software applications

Excellent organization and time management skills

Ability to handle confidential information

Must be willing to travel to other properties in the area as needed

Must have a valid driver's license

Ability to pass a criminal background check
