    Maintenance Technician I

    The primary duties of a Maintenance Technician are the maintenance and improvement of our properties to ensure safety and appearance. The Maintenance Technician will complete repairs in vacant apartments, residential apartments, and common areas. The Maintenance Technician diagnoses and repairs issues involving HVAC or refrigeration (with the exception of handling freon), electrical, plumbing, elevators, swimming pool, carpentry, drywall, exterior structural and appliances. The Maintenance Technician also maintains property grounds by removing trash and plant debris.

    The work is performed in a variety of environments under the overall direction of the Maintenance Supervisor. This is a full-time, Monday through Friday, 7am to 4pm benefits-eligible, on-call position in Clearwater, Florida.

    Required Experience:

    High school diploma or GED certificate.

    One year of experience in various trades including carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, appliances and/or electrical maintenance and repair.

    Computer proficiency in Windows operating system and MS Office software.

    Possession of valid Florida Driver’s License.

    Necessary competencies:

    Safety, fire prevention, and first aid techniques.

    Measurement and mathematical calculations.

    Operate a motor vehicle.

    Ability to work in a variety of conditions and locations including confined areas, rooftops, underground spaces, etc.

    Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
