We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician (Millwright) to join our team in Springfield, IL. Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Install, align, and dismantle machinery as needed, following safety protocols.
- Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
- Collaborate with other team members to improve processes and enhance equipment reliability.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while performing tasks.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician or millwright, preferably in an industrial setting.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read blueprints and schematics.
- Familiarity with various tools and equipment used in maintenance and repair tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety.
