    Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join one of our long-term clients’ team at (1) of their properties in Minneapolis, MN. The ideal candidate will have 2 years’ experience in hands on maintenance and general mechanical and maintenance knowledge. Experience in residential/multi-family housing is required. Boilers License, or experience is highly preferred (ability to get boilers within 30-45 days upon conversion is required for this position. This role is contract to hire (90 days before conversion).

    This role will be working with (1) building with 180 units, 6 stories and energy star rated.

    Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-430pm with an unpaid lunch. This role is contract to hire (90 days before conversion).

    Salary: $25-$28/hour DOQ.

    Responsibilities and Job Duties:

    • Review work orders, prioritize and complete them in a safe and timely manner.
    • Ensure all work orders are responded to within 24 - 48 hours.
    • Schedules and prioritizes all work orders; ensures timely completion and follow up; complete all work orders within 48 hours, communicates directly with residents when parts must be ordered causing the completion of the requested work to be delayed.
    • Schedules all maintenance for building and common areas
    • Preventative maintenance and general upkeep of properties. Completes assigned work orders and reports on a daily and monthly basis.
    • Prepares all vacant units to be made ready for immediate occupancy.
    • Keeps manager updated of any uncompleted service requests.
    • Assists in keeping the entire complex clean.
    • Informs manager concerning deferred maintenance issues.
    • Works overtime as needed - Works on the last and first day of each month until unit turn responsibilities are completed.
    • Coordinate with vendors and contractors to complete work in a safe and timely manner.
    • Properly secure and care for property equipment and supplies
    • Implement preventative maintenance plan.
    • Walk property weekly, identify maintenance & safety related issues, and manage repair process.
    • Ability to be on call for after-hours emergencies.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in residential/multi-family maintenance.
    • Reliable and punctual.
    • Hospitality set mind-set when working with the residents.
    • Hold a valid Driver’s License and active vehicle insurance as this is a roving role.
    • Be able to pass a background check prior to employment.
