Position: Field Service Specialist
Hours: 8 hours/day, 5 days/week, Monday-Friday
Vacation Time: 15 PTO days which includes personal, vacation, and sick days.
Travel: Our Field Service Technicians can typically expect to travel two weeks a month. Monday thru Friday with occasional departures on Sunday.

Job Description
This occupation is a combination of working on in office Control Panel wiring and test, shop inspections (UL Approved Shop), and traveling onsite to start-up and inspect RDP installed systems. Generally, there will be 2-3 start-up trips per project. Each trip will be one week at a time, Monday- Friday. The training is fairly straightforward as experience Technicians will assist on taking the new employee on jobsite training for commissioning projects. RDP will teach you the specific skills and techniques for the successful completion of each project, which is largely based on troubleshooting motors, valves, hydraulics and actuators. Must have some experience with coordination of fieldwork as RDP is the equipment supplier and works closely with the installing contractor. Primarily will be in the shop wiring panels and inspecting equipment.

Key Functions of the Job
Start-up, troubleshooting, and coordination for electrical and mechanical components apart of a large process system.
Field Wiring Experience
Ability to read electrical and detailed mechanical drawings
Supervision of contractor installed equipment
Confirmation of fabrication dimensions through RDP-designed drawings
Coordinating and testing of Panels and field wiring
Conducting the on-site Start-Up and Performance Testing
Communication skills needed to work through onsite issues between Installing Contractor, Engineer, Municipality, and RDP
Experience leading a crew of operators
Preferred at least 5 of onsite experience
