Overview:
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production machinery and the facility’s support systems. Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues to keep stamping presses, CNC machines, welders, and ancillary equipment running smoothly. Support continuous production by responding to breakdowns and performing scheduled maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute planned preventative maintenance on machines and equipment (lubrication, belt/chain adjustments, filter changes).
Troubleshoot mechanical failures: inspect bearings, gears, motors, and implements basic hydraulic/electrical repairs.
Assist with installations or relocations of production equipment (alignments, calibrations, belt/pulley replacements).
Maintain machine safety guards, verify lock-out/tag-out compliance, and support shop safety audits.
Use hand tools, power tools, and electrical test meters to diagnose faults and validate repairs.
Document maintenance work orders, track parts inventory, and communicate equipment status to production supervisors.
Support facility upkeep: minor plumbing, HVAC filter changes, lighting repairs, and cleanliness of mechanical areas.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of maintenance or repair technician experience in a manufacturing environment.
Basic electrical knowledge (120V/240V), ability to read wiring diagrams, and familiarity with PLCs and VFDs is a plus.
Strong mechanical aptitude: proficient in bearing replacements, belt/chain adjustments, and basic plumbing.
Capability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
Effective problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced production setting.
Valid driver’s license with a clean record
