    Location: Onsite, Newton NC

    Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor

    Employment Status: Full Time

    Travel: None

    Second Shift 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm

    Work Schedule: Monday through Friday; with overtime and weekends as required.

    Pay: $25.00 to $30.00/hour plus $1.00/hour shift differential

    Position Overview

    The Maintenance Technician demonstrates Service with Knowledge® by ensuring the safe, reliable and efficient operation of plant equipment and facilities. This position offers the opportunity to make a daily, hands‑on impact by maintaining critical manufacturing equipment and facility systems that support high‑quality production. Working closely with production teams and fellow technicians, this role values clear communication, strong collaboration, and shared accountability.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Performs corrective and preventive maintenance on production machinery, mechanical systems, and facility equipment to ensure reliable operation.

    • Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and repairs mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems to minimize production downtime.

    • Maintains and services building systems including electrical (480V 3‑phase), HVAC, plumbing, and general facility infrastructure.

    • Completes scheduled preventive maintenance activities and accurately documents work performed in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

    • Collaborates with production and maintenance team members to resolve equipment issues and support efficient shift handoffs.

    • Identifies causes of downtime and recommends repairs or process improvements to prevent recurrence.

    • Follows OSHA regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and company safety standards; maintains clean and organized work areas using 5S principles.

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or equivalent.

    • Minimum of 5 years' experience or equivalent education in mechanical, electrical, or automation in an industrial manufacturing setting required.

    • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) required

    • Experience in food and drug safety standards preferred.

    Work Environment

    • Manufacturing and warehouse environment with exposure to noise, moving machinery, varying temperatures, and industrial systems. Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting required. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
